Cramp-busting herbal compress

Suitable for menstrual cramps, abdominal cramps and for relief of general muscular aches, spasm and pain.

Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 Towel
  • 1 Hot plate

Ingredients

  • 20 grams Ginger root (dried)
  • 10 grams Jasmine flowers (dried)
  • 10 grams Japanese Knotweed
  • 5 drops German Chamomile essential oil
  • 5 drops Valerian essential oil
  • 3 drops Lavender essential oil
  • Water

Instructions

  • Put the ginger in hot water in a small pot and simmer (as above) for around 20 minutes.
  • Next, remove from heat and add the flowers. Leave to sit for 15 mins and it should cool a little.
  • Strain and when the temperature is suitable, dip in a towel and apply to the abdominal area. Apply as often as needed.
